Also note the blue tit in the foreground! The cameras appear to deal well with the different light conditions too, but can be a little under-exposed at dawn and dusk below. This is likely to be resolved pretty quickly with firmware updates however, if it is any kind of issue.
A firmware upgrade has now been issued to solve this problem. Read more here ] A pheasant captured just after 5am in low-light. Click for full-size version. An unexpected change, but certainly one of the best. Detection zone One of the most important things about any camera trap is its detection zone and sensitivity.
New Bushnell Trophy Cam Aggressor Review - NatureSpy
The size and depth of this detection zone determines how you need to place your camera trap. The new Trophy Cam Aggressor models can detect out to over ft — a staggering distance. You can turn the sensitivity and therefore detection zone down however using a setting on the camera.
Another issue comes from the extreme sensitivity — lots and lots of blank images or videos. Occasionally, a combination of wind and patchy sunlight especially in forests can trigger camera traps, particularly around midday. The video this year appears to be roughly similar, although we noted that the file sizes are a third bigger 60MB for a 30 second video.
Note the exposure correction in the first few seconds, showing that this flash is pretty powerful but can also quickly adapt and deliver high-quality night time footage. It does feel extremely well-built, and both models are the same size — fitting in your hand comfortably.

Pre-owned by dhowse2 Dec 08, Top critical review Disappointed with all the hype I purchased this after reading all the marketing material. I have had many other game cams so this was another one to add to my job equipment.
Let down by its low quality video, photos, trigger and night illumination. I have yet to take this to the forest and trial it. No security features, so if your camera is stolen it can be used.
New by cranny Oct 27, Good camera I am mostly happy with the camera but it does need some firmware tweeking to make it not use the flash so early in the evening and late in the morning. Too many whiteout pictures at the most important times of the day. It is very fast, almost too fast.
