Step 1 To replace the graphics card, align the card into its slot at a 45 degree angle.
Step 2 Push the card down into the slot and replace the two screws. Hold the card down while replacing the first of the two screws. Step 3 Before replacing the MXM thermal module assembly, first clean the old thermal solution from the MXM graphics card by applying a cleaning agent and then wiping it clean. Step 4 Repeat the cleaning procedure on the thermal module. Step 5 Apply new thermal grease or thermal pad to the MXM graphics card.

Step 6 Carefully align the MXM thermal module back onto the computer. Step 7 Tighten the screws over the MXM graphics card. Step 8 Replace the screw near the radiator.
Step 9 Before replacing the CPU thermal module assembly, first clean the thermal solution from the CPU by applying a cleaning agent and then wiping it clean. Step 10 Repeat the cleaning procedure on the thermal module.
Step 11 Apply new thermal grease or thermal pad to the CPU. Step 12 Carefully align the thermal module back onto the computer, sliding the radiator between the MXM thermal module and the system fan.
Step 13 Tighten the screws for the CPU thermal module. Step 14 Replace the screw near the radiator.

HP ENVY 23-d160ef TouchSmart Realtek Card Reader Step 15 To replace the motherboard EMI shield, find the small slot on the side of the shield Step 16 Find the two small holes on the bottom of the EMI shield Step 17 To replace the motherboard EMI shield, align the slot on the shield over its alignment tab, and carefully swing and press the shield into place.
